I have been feeling alternately good and bad since my last posting, an improvement over the almost complete lack of feelings, good or bad, that had been my lot for far too long.
Though I have yet to manage to establish an absolute schedule, I have even been getting some "real" writing done. Not enough and not regularly, but something is better than nothing, even if - as I suspect - it's largely rubbish so far.
I've also been socializing quite a bit (for me), ever since casualsexcapade and I shared beers a few weeks back. (On the town side, I've been a shitty correspondent; email coming soon, I promise!)
Anyway.
All right. I know this isn't a terribly interesting entry, but then - despite the improvements - neither has my life been. But I'm liking it more all the same.
Cheers!

Anyway.
- Two Friday's ago, I managed to get myself out of the apartment in order to attend the opening of an art show curated by my ex-girlfriend, Siya.
A couple of days later, we got together for some Vietnamese food and then, last Friday, she introduced me to one aspect of this country's future. - Friday saw Siya and I get together for drinks and - yum! - Ethiopean food with two of her friends, Anna and Denise.
Anna is from Brazil, Denise from New York State. And they are now living in Toronto, as Canadian citizens, in large part because they wanted to get married - and this country hasallowedrecognized that gays and lesbians are, in fact, full human beings.
After four or five hours of conversation, I feel confident in asserting that this country is lucky to have them. - Also on the positive side of things, until the current heat-wave struck, I had once again started exercising regularly.
- Further, I have learned that I am physically addicted to only one drug, the dread nicotiana. My formerly habitual intake of a pot or so a day of coffee has become sporadic; I went a month without the benefit of THC; and I have even gone 3 or 4 days in the past couple of weeks without a drink.
No withdrawal symptoms for any of them, unless my increasingly vivid - and entertaining - dreams count as such.
All right. I know this isn't a terribly interesting entry, but then - despite the improvements - neither has my life been. But I'm liking it more all the same.
Cheers!
