I wonder if the bulk of their conversation was Obama chastizing Harper for being too left-wing. Perhaps Obama gave him a few popularity tips, reminding him that if he were only more right-wing on almost every issue like he is, Harper too could be wildly popular with people who easily lose sight of their ideals in the starshine from Crest Whitestrips.
But the real reason I'm responding to this is to remark that apparently you either don't live where you used to live or else I've forgotten where you live, which caused me some slight consternation the day I lost my keys.
I was most probably around whenever it was you lost your keys. If it happens again before Saturday, I'm in the book — after that, we'll need to update one another's organizers.
I'll confess that I was hoping for more of a response to that "cartoon". It came to me as one of those rare moments when you just know you've got something. (Then it took me until the next morning before I could find an appropriate Harper photo.)
