Yes, I love Doctor Who and Battlestar Gallactica and Peanuts and cetera, but as easyalchemy put it so beautifully, "...call me a geek or a dork or a nerd or a bitch, but fer chrissakes, don't ever call me a fan."

Geek is good. Obsessive geek would be nervousness-making were it not so harmless to the rest of us.
