Personally, I want to read it because novels with Métis representation are so rare that I had to write one myself (second guessing what I was doing the whole time). As a review, though? Elements like a damsel in distress and gang rape (however cleverly subverted) are things that will put me off. So it's a toss-up.
If I put on my Publishing Prick hat, I'd caution against reviewing a book that you've published yourself (especially if it's by your dad). Get someone else to review it. Seriously. It doesn't matter how good the book is or even how well-written and intriguing the review is, it makes it reek of vanity press and will drive off libraries and bookstores. Caveat: I haven't really worked in publishing for about 12 years and things may have changed in that time.
