... Ottawa's canal, "the world's longest skating rink", is a marvel of public park space.

Raven and I went out (again, as has become a habit with us) and donned skates today and, as ever, the broad iceway was crowded with people, young and old, fit and not, taking in the air and working out their bodies among their fellow citizens.

The mercury probably hit +1 so the ice was lousy, but still, a good time was had by thousands and (for me), best of all, Raven three times let go of my hand and skated solo!

Winter ain't just for bicyling, kids!
