My google-fu has failed me.

First one of you Gentle Readers to remind of the word for "a word with more than one meaning" gets a cookie. Hell, let's make it a whole batch — I started looking for it two or three days ago and its nowhere to be found.

[Edit, including a change of icon for appropriateness: It's "homonym", of course. Thanks to a couple of folks over at Facebook, Ken and also Marnina, who so seldom graces my LJ friends' page anymore that I've forgotten her username.]

More meanings!

What is the word with the most homonyms?

(It has more than 200, in a good dictionary.)

Great icon...

You're a cruel man, Mr. Carlson; and my google-fu failed me again? If I beg and plead, will you just tell me there answer?

Feel free to steal, if you like; credit would be nice, but its Pascis(?) who deserves the real credit anyway. (I cracked up for something like 10 minutes the first time I read that particular episode; in principle I hate puns, but ... damn.)

The word is "set."

My writer's group did some goofing around with that versatile word, plus several of the runners-up.

I have a collection of Pascis work. Cant believe he was a lawyer who decided to draw. I think the world's a better more sarcastic place for it.
