Re: Well ...

Ah shit. I switched phone companies (back to Bell, which I'm begining to really regret) and haven't been able to access my voicemail since Wednesday. They re-set the password - or said they would - on Friday and told me it would take 24 hours to start working but it isn't yet. And naturally, their customer service line isn't open on the weekend.

Ahem.

What they (two different support people) told me was that my temporary password would be my phone number without the area code.

My first paragraph, above prompted me to try an experiment. "How's about with the area code, Young Geoffrey?"

Bingo.

My battery lasted just long enough to change the password and to delete 1 message from Bell, telling me they had taken over control of my phone-line.

24 messages(! I don't normally get 25 messages in a month; what's going on?) to go. When the swine is re-charged.

Why would they tell me the password didn't include the area code when it did?!? Don't they have a standard method of operation on these things?

I look forward to hearing your message in an hour or so.
