But how in the world would a reader actually go about implementing Rand's ideas? The best they can do is become an Objectivist, which doesn't really affect anyone else. I guess they could build a Randian society if some incidental event happened to wipe out everyone else in the world, but I find it hard to argue that starting a society with Randian precepts is itself evil. Now, if someone actively killed everyone else in order to build Randland, different story. But I'll bet that there are fewer murderers within the ranks of Rand-readers than outside them; most killers couldn't get through a book of Atlas Shrugged's length.
