It might be a pretty boring debate.

More seriously, one of these days I'd like to write something more substantial about it, because I think that show (possibly among others; I'm giving Deadwood a try at the moment) is possibly creating an entirely new art-form, simply because of the sheer length of the narrative - like the difference between novels and short stories.

I wish I took my reading more seriously like you do...I like reading because I like learning and sometimes I just need to escape.
Maybe when I'm older, I will have more time to read.


Believe me, a lot of the reading I do is strictly escapist - in one eye and out the other, barely touching the brain.

Also, part of the reason I'm reading as much as I have been lately is that I really don't have much of a life. So I won't wish my situation on you, though since you're an artist it may be your fate to suffer that situation from time to time.
